Samoens - French Alps..
Samoens is a beautiful, listed Alpine town, just one hour from Geneva airport.
It is linked directly to the Grand Massif ski area, which also includes the towns of Sixt, Morillon, Les Carroz and the modern resort Flaine. With over 265km of piste and endless off piste, this is a huge ski area, and still relativley undiscovered with barely any lift queues and one of the best snow records in the Alps. Samoens is also a fantastic summer destination!
Samoens has plenty of bars and restaurants open late into the small hours and is a fantastic, relaxed spot for the Apres ski - though it still retains the feel of rural France.
Chalet Bourguignons is located just above Samoens, with beautiful views of the town and ski area. You can stroll into town from the chalet - just a 10 minute walk..
